Below is the final collection for the Tollcross Traders golf markers project which was installed in April 2009 on Bruntsfield Links.
The cover for the book is inspired from the stories and characters described within the book The half Canned Cooks.
The original concept was to make the book appear as a graphic novel. After looking at the classic pulp horror comics of the '50's and '60's I came up with this cover. The idea being that the strange characters have manifested themselves within the Lupe Pinto's shop.
It was decided to take the comic theme through the entire book using a black and white style to illustrate some scenes from the stories. Furthermore I used comic fonts throughout the design to further emphasise the classic comic roots.
Saunderson Butchers required some posters to raise the profile of their Delicatessen and Ready Cooked meals range. It was decided early on that they wanted something that could easily be adapted as their range changed through the seasons.
